Similar to how bridges connect isolated islands with the mainland to bolster trade, organizations make use of modern technologies to link their connectivity solutions, enhancing collaboration and revenue prospects. However, today, with a variety of emerging technologies promising streamlined communications, most enterprises are deploying connected devices in a disorderly manner, only to fail in reaping optimal benefits. The key to procuring intelligent connectivity solutions is by seamlessly connecting a business to its people, assets and customers. Enter Tata Communications—one of a handful of companies that provides services that enables these needs on a global scale. The company’s profound technological and business expertise, coupled with its prowess in strategic consulting and support services, makes them a go-to company that addresses both technology and business needs of a company in terms of information and communication technologies (ICT).

As a leading digital infrastructure provider for global enterprises, Tata Communications is equipped to cope with its customers’ rising demands for global connectivity, enriched information intelligence, security, scalability and flexibility. Tata Communications’ service portfolio includes voice and data connectivity capabilities, cloud-ready networks and platforms, multi-layered managed security, media services and content delivery network, unified communications and collaboration services as well as global connectivity solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT). “We aim to offer a robust digital ecosystem that is future-ready,” states Amit Sachdeva, Head- Global Business Development and Alliances Mobility and IoT Solutions at Tata Communications. The company’s mix of physical infrastructure and network virtualization techniques empowers clients with agile, intelligent, scalable, and flexible networks. Such demonstrated capabilities have made Tata Communications a common name among multiple global projects.

Its global network—the world’s largest wholly-owned subsea fibre backbone and a tier-1 IP network—further underpins these capabilities.

The company currently works with some of the major cloud and IoT enabled service companies and provides connectivity to nearly 30 percent of the world’s internet routes. To this extent, Tata Communications provides an agile and cloud-ready WAN architecture that connects traditional and emerging network endpoints to applications in different infrastructures, whether on-premise or in public/private clouds. Using a global mobile virtual network, the company’s Tata Communications MOVE™ platform delivers mobile connectivity around the world for both asset connectivity (IoT) and enterprise mobility (global SIM) services. Moreover, Tata Communications integrates security within its network and cloud services to address the increasing intensity of cyber attacks. This is achieved through multi-layered security, including proprietary encryption techniques and works with selected partners to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.

In addition, Tata Communications delivers bespoke solutions by combining SD-WAN with IoT connectivity, and enterprise mobility with unified communications services in its comprehensive portfolio. To illustrate how Tata Communications helps customers achieve their goals and remain on the leading edge of innovation, Sachdeva mentions the case of a multinational automotive OEM. The client needed a partner to enable and deliver global connectivity as well as help manage the underlying carrier networks and subscriptions, which would keep their vehicles connected in a central ecosystem. This required the use of eSIMs to support over-the-air (OTA) updates for predictive maintenance and software upgrades. Tata Communications enabled seamless eSIM provisioning so that the OEM could bundle services while benefiting from the optimum cost of connectivity. As a result, OEM’s customers could receive the best data plan and coverage at the right cost, regardless of their location. Moreover, Tata Communications’ capability to provide connectivity across 200 countries and territories due to various partnerships and access agreements with over 640 mobile networks proved invaluable for the OEM.

As an 18-year-old business and a part of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate, Tata Communications brings stability not only in its service offerings but also in its viability. It has a proven record of financial sustainability and growth. With the combined power of Tata Communications’ global reach, best-in-class services, expertise, and partnerships, the company is poised to help its clients harness the power of technology for transforming their networking models. “This would help our clients gain a competitive advantage necessary to flourish in a competitive market,” concludes Sachdeva.
